How our text booking links work

Tally (Tally Technologies LLC) provides an AI virtual receptionist to service businesses such as salons and barbershops. When you call a business that uses Tally, our receptionist can text you a link to book your appointment — but only after you give your consent on the call. These texts are sent by Tally on behalf of the business, from a number assigned to that business, and show the business’s name. We send a one-time booking link only — no marketing and no recurring messages.
Step by step
- You call a business that uses Tally’s virtual receptionist.
- Your call is answered by the business’s virtual (AI) receptionist, powered by Tally.
- The receptionist offers to text you a booking link and reads the consent disclosure below, then asks your permission.
- Only if you say yes do we send one SMS booking link, sent on the business’s behalf. If you say no, we send nothing.
- You can reply STOP to that text at any time to opt out, or HELP for help.
What the receptionist says (verbatim)
“I can text you a link to book your appointment. Message and data rates may apply, and you can reply STOP to opt out anytime. Is it okay to text you?”
We send the booking link only after you verbally agree. For every message we send, we keep a record of your mobile number, the date and time, and your verbal consent.
A live example
Sainte Hair Salon in American Fork, Utah uses Tally’s virtual receptionist. When you call Sainte at (801) 669-0659 and agree to receive a booking link, Tally sends you a single text from (385) 293-1609 on Sainte’s behalf, like this:
